Randal C. Shaffer, President. Randal C. Shaffer is President and Chief Executive Officer of The School of Liberal Arts and Science. Mr. Shaffer is a licensed attorney in the State of Texas, where he was admitted to the bar in 1991. He was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer and President in April 2007. Prior to that time, Mr. Shaffer had been counsel for the school for approximately five years. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington (B.A., with high honors, 1987) and the University of Kentucky (J.D., with distinction, 1991), where he was Associate Editor of the Kentucky Law Journal. Mr. Shaffer's legal practice includes service at Carrington, Coleman, Sloman & Blumenthal, LLP, and Sayles & Lidji, PC, and ten years with his own firm. While partner at his own firm, Mr. Shaffer also managed the firm. Mr. Shaffer was a member of the Board of Directors for Arlington Classics Academy, a second generation charter school, from 1999 to 2003, and held the office of President for two of those years.

Loren "Pepper" Hitchcock, Chairman. Loren Hitchcock is Chairman of the Board of Directors of The School of Liberal Arts and Science. Mr. Hitchcock was elected as a member of the board in August of 2005, and was elected as the Chairman in August 2007. Mr. Hitchcock is a graduate of Texas Christian University (BBA, 1975) . Mr. Hitchcock was a member of the Board of Directors for Arlington Classics Academy, a second generation charter school, from 1999 to 2001.

Ken Petree, Member. Ken Petree was elected as a member of the Board of Directors of The School of Liberal Arts and Science in March 2003. Mr. Petree is currently a Vice President and Business Development Officer at Texas First Bank. Mr. Petree has also served as Vice President and Small Business Development Officer for Sterling Bank located in Arlington, Texas. He is Past President of the Fort Worth Economic Development Corporation, an SBA Small Business Administration Certified Development Corporation lender. He also is Chairman of the loan committee for the Fort Worth Economic Development Corporation. Mr. Petree is currently President of the North Texas Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders (NTAGGL), a non-profit organization that provides training and education to SBA lenders in the North Texas Region with banks and non bank lenders to small businesses as members. Mr. Petree attended The American University, Columbus College and the American Institute of Banking.

Julia Gomez, Member. Julia Gomez was elected as a member of the Board of Directors of The School of Liberal Arts and Science in April 2004. Mrs. Gomez is currently the Child Nutrition Coordinator for Trinity Basin Preparatory. She is also an active parent of one of the students. Mrs. Gomez has eight years experience in small business lending.
Sharon Hurley, Secretary. Sharon Hurley was appointed as secretary to the Board of Directors of The School of Liberal Arts and Science in July 2006. Ms. Hurley has been employed by Trinity Basin Preparatory since September 2004, during which time she has served as Substitute Teacher, PEIMS Coordinator, Executive Assistant to the CEO and currently the Director of Administration.
